The first workshop

A program is just a text file with instructions.

Same three lines as Stage 3. This page is the slow version. Type them in Termux. Watching here is not the work.

Workshop0 of 5 steps

Make the folder and open the file

mkdir ~/learn

cd ~/learn

nano hello.py

Type three lines

hello.py

print("Hello from my phone")
name = input("Your name: ")
print("Hi", name)

Save and leave nano

Ctrl+O, Enter, Ctrl+X. Practice the keys.
Run it

python hello.py
Say the three lines back

print shows text. input asks and waits. name is a sticky note. Python room.

That was real coding.

Tomorrow, try to write the same file from memory. Then guess a number.

Next step
